Pastor Gary Hamrick has been in full-time ministry since 1987, serving as a youth pastor before becoming the pastor of Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, VA in 1991. Today, Cornerstone is a thriving church with thousands of weekly worshipers. Gary is dedicated to equipping them through practical teachings of God’s Word. He initially resisted his calling to ministry but eventually embraced it, obtaining a Bachelor of Biblical Studies and being ordained by the Calvary Chapel Association. Married to Terri since 1987, they have three children and five grandchildren, many of whom also serve in ministry. Pastor Gary’s ministry in Washington D.C. has allowed him to meet and pray with influential figures, and he is involved in various advisory and chaplaincy roles, along with his radio broadcast “Cornerstone Connection.”

“I was thrilled to speak at the Hamptons Roads Leadership Prayer Breakfast. The spirit of the Lord was in the room. What a blessing to witness Christian fellowship among business and community leaders. This event is first rate.”

"It’s not often you have the experience of leaders coming together from every sphere of a community to honor God and pray for their schools, children, churches, businesses, government, and military and ask for God’s blessing, healing, direction, and wisdom to be salt and light in the areas they serve. The first time I attended the HRLPB, I knew it was something special. So special, that I now serve on its Board of Directors."

“For the many years that I have been a part of the Hampton Roads Leadership Prayer Breakfast it has been such an honor and a privilege. Whether it was assisting musically or praying over our schools, teachers, staff, and students as the Chairman of the School Board, it has been such a blessing. The Hampton Roads Leadership Prayer Breakfast brings together Christian leaders to pray for God’s blessing over our nation, our community, and each other. What is more important than that!”
