About Us

The Annual Hampton Roads Leadership Prayer Breakfast is held each year at a venue in Hampton Roads. Meeting in Norfolk for its first 37 years, the prayer breakfast was held in Chesapeake starting in 2013 and will be held VIRTUALLY this year through the services graciously provided by Regent University on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 7:30a.m. Our key note speaker for 2020 will be Congressman J. Randy Forbes.

The long-running event has hosted an impressive list of distinguished speakers over the years to include: Roger Staubach, professional football player; Johnny & June Carter Cash, country music legends; Rev. Jerry Falwell, founder of Liberty University; John D. Ashcroft, former U.S. Attorney General; Meadowlark Lemon, former Harlem Globetrotter; Pat Robertson, Founder of The Christian Broadcasting Network and Regent University; and J. Randy Forbes, U.S. Congressman and founder of the bi-partisan Congressional Prayer Caucus.

Every year the Breakfast is attended by many elected officials from across Hampton Roads including members of Congress, state senators and delegates, sheriffs and chiefs of police and fire departments as well as uniformed service members. Traditionally all of the mayors of South Hampton Roads have participated in the annual event.

“If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
